 Self-motivation in the Quran

The Quran, the holy book of Islam, provides guidance on various aspects of life, including self-motivation and personal development. Here are some verses from the Quran that can be considered as sources of inspiration and guidance for self-motivation:

Trust in Allah's Plan:

وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ" (القرآن 57:4)

"And He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing."

(اور تم جہاں کہیں بھی ہو وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہے اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ اسے دیکھ رہا ہے)

This verse encourages believers to trust in Allah's plan and to know that He is always aware of their actions.

Perseverance in Hard Times:

"فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ" (القرآن 40:55)

"So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning."

(پس صبر کرو، بے شک اللہ کا وعدہ سچا ہے، اور اپنے گناہوں کی بخشش مانگو اور صبح و شام اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح کرو۔)

This verse emphasizes the importance of patience and perseverance during difficult times, assuring believers that Allah's promises are true.

Seeking Knowledge and Reflection:

"أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِم مَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَاطِلٌ وَأَيَّامٌ مَّعْدُودَاتٌ ۚ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْمِنُونَ" (القرآن 30:8)

"Do they not reflect upon themselves? Allah created the heavens and the earth and everything between them in True proportion and measure."

(کیا وہ اپنے آپ پر غور نہیں کرتے؟ اللہ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اور ان کے درمیان کی ہر چیز کو صحیح تناسب اور پیمائش کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے۔)

This verse encourages self-reflection and contemplation, fostering a sense of understanding and appreciation for the creation of Allah.

Positive Thinking:

"فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ" (القرآن 2:152)

"So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me."

(پس مجھے یاد کرو میں تمہیں یاد رکھوں گا۔ اور میرا شکر ادا کرو اور میرا انکار نہ کرو)

Remembrance of Allah and gratitude are highlighted in this verse, promoting a positive mindset and acknowledgment of blessings.

Striving for Excellence:

"وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ" (القرآن 29:69)

"And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good."

(اور جو لوگ ہمارے لیے کوشش کرتے ہیں، ہم انہیں ضرور اپنے راستے دکھا دیں گے، اور بے شک اللہ نیکو کاروں کے ساتھ ہے۔)

This verse encourages believers to strive for excellence and assures them that Allah will guide those who sincerely strive in His path.

Purpose of Life:

"وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ" (القرآن 51:56)

"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."

(اور میں نے جنوں اور انسانوں کو اس لیے پیدا نہیں کیا کہ وہ میری عبادت کریں)

Understanding the purpose of life as worshiping Allah can provide motivation and a sense of direction in one's actions.

Trust in Allah's Mercy:

"قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ" (القرآن 39:53)

"Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"

(کہہ دیجئے کہ اے میرے بندو جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں پر زیادتی کی ہے، اللہ کی رحمت سے مایوس نہ ہو، بے شک اللہ تمام گناہوں کو بخش دیتا ہے، بے شک وہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے۔)

This verse reminds believers of the vast mercy of Allah and encourages them not to lose hope, promoting a positive and motivated outlook.
